Problem Statement

Companies struggle to achieve high NABERS rating because of inefficient systems.

With inefficient and inaccurate waste management systems, leading to inflated operational costs and a lower NABERS rating (reducing rent potential). Current methods of measuring waste are manual, often leading to discrepancies and inefficiencies.

The absence of real-time tracking and data analysis impedes the formulation of effective waste reduction strategies and increased cost of waste. This problem is exacerbated by monthly reporting cycles that delay insights and decision-making.


Information Architecture

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of PM’s and Devs, along side the founder, to first create the information architecture and bring the idea to life.


My second task was building the wireframes using an iterative process to arrive at the final solution.

Aligning the vision, setting the scope and expectations

Started as a team effort, by brainstorming possible approaches, aligning the vision with what is feasible and setting a realistic scope.

We narrowed the design to essential features and functionality that give the most value to users.

Location Management

A cascading management system that provides information about a specific location. CRUD functionality for users to View, Add, Edit and Remove groups, bins, …etc (Subject to Access level)

Access Levels System

An access level system that only allows users with the correct access level, to perform certain actions

Client management system (Internal Staff Only)

Allowing users with the highest permission level, to manage clients, locations ...etc


Users can download various reports, that provide analysis, insight and stats about a location.

High Fidelity Wireframes

First look at the solution

After a few rounds of ideation, I designed the wireframes to share a first look at the solution with the team.


Aligning the brand identity with engaging visuals

I had few considerations to make at this stage.

Align the brand style with simple yet modern aesthetics.

Create engaging visuals, but avoid distracting users from the main data.

Have accessibility and usability in mind for an optimal experience for all.


Making the next person’s job easier by

Splitting screens into access levels, for easy scanning and user flow recognition

Colour coding user flows to create a visual hierarchy

Information Architecture: Based on the research previously conducted by a different team, I built the platform sitemap as a first step to structure the navigation and content, prioritising features and information according to user needs.

Wireframing & Prototyping: I designed high-fidelity wireframes to visualise the

layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on feedback.

Visual Design & Style Guide: I developed a cohesive visual language, including

colour schemes, typography, ensuring consistency throughout the

platform while adhering to the brand guidelines.
